
Meanwhile, the revenue from operations went up by 5.2% YoY to Rs 4,416.83 crore, as against Rs 4,198.77 crore posted in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Post earnings announcement, shares of BEL dropped over 1% to Rs 390.80 on the BSE.
On a consolidated basis, the firm’s PAT rose 22.5% at Rs 969.05 crore, against Rs 791.28 crore in the same quarter of last year, while the revenue from operations surged 4.6% YoY to Rs 4,439.74 crore in Q1FY26.
Sequentially, the PSU witnessed a sharp decline in its standalone PAT, falling 54% from Rs 2,104.78 crore reported in the quarter ended March 2025.
However, the firm was able to cut down its total expenses marginally by 2.13% YoY to Rs 3,291.21 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2026.BEL, in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, reported its total income at Rs 4,603.06 crore, against Rs 4,447.15 crore reported in the year-ago period, representing a gain of 3.5% YoY.The company’s order book position as on 1st July, 2025 stood at Rs 74,859 crore.
